On Wednesday, Kamala Harris made her first-ever appearance as the vice-president candidate to Joe Biden.

While speaking to the media and crowd in the event that happened in Wilmington, Delaware, Ms. Harris said that her family means a lot to her.

She stated- “Family is everything to me too, and I cannot wait for America to get to know my husband Doug and our amazing kids Cole and Ella,” Source: BBC.

Further, she continued and said- “I’ve had a lot of titles over my career, and certainly vice president will be great, but ‘Momala’ will always be the one that means the most.” Source: BBC.

While giving these statements, Kamala’s husband, Douglas Emhoff, joined her on the stage, and then the couple shared a kiss.

Supporters of US Senator Kamala Harris are familiar with Mr. Emhoff. He has always come forward as one of the biggest supporters of his wife. The moment, Joe Biden announced to have Kamala as his vice-presidents for the elections, Mr. Emhoff used his Twitter account to share his excitement.

He has two children from his first marriage, Ella and Cole. Reports say the children refer Ms. Harris as “Momala” as they do not like the term “stepmom.”
