The international football star Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive for the coronavirus. On Tuesday, the Portuguese football federation stated that Ronaldo has no symptoms and is doing well even after being tested positive while with his country’s national team. 

He was in seclusion and has also been dropped from the country’s Nations League match against Sweden in Lisbon. Fernando Santos, Portugal coach, said that Ronaldo was dealing with the COVID-19 well and he is asymptomatic without any much trouble.

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most prolific goal scorers in the football history, on Sunday’s match at France played in the 0-0 draw and a 0-0 draw in a friendly match with Spain last week.

On October 12th, there was a picture posted on Twitter by the Juventus forward showing the whole Portugal team having a meal together.

All sitting together and Ronaldo taking a selfie at the front, along with this, he wrote in Portuguese, “United on and off the field!”

The 35-year-old footballer Ronaldo became the only second male football player to attain 100 goals last month for a national team, after former Iran striker Ali Daei. 

The Portuguese football federation did a second round of Covid-19 tests for all the players after Ronaldo’s results showed positive. Even the practice on Tuesday was pushed to afternoon, only after the results can be negative for all the other players. A photo was also published by the Portuguese media of Ronaldo standing in his balcony and watching the team practice.

Ronaldo could drop Juventus’ Serie A match at Crotone on October 17th and also the Champions League opener at Dynamo Kyiv on October 20th. And on the basis of his condition, the results of coming tests, he might have to also miss the much-awaited match against Barcelona on October 28th.

Recently, the players who tested positive include Kylian Mbappé, Ángel Di María, Neymar, Paulo Dybala, Paul Pogba, Diego Costa and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
