Further, he continued and stated- “I don’t want to talk to them right now. What China did to this country and the world was unthinkable. I canceled talks with China. On Monday, the President gave a hint of banning other China-owned companies as well. It included- one of the biggest eCommerce websites- Alibaba in the United States. He released this statement days after signing an executive order to ban TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance.

This decision came after Mr. Trump signed and issued an executive order on 14th August. It required ByteDance to divest its operational interests in video-sharing app TikTok in the US within 90 days of releasing the order.

In the recently signed order, President Donald Trump said- “There is credible evidence that leads me to believe that ByteDance … might take action that threatens to impair the national security of the United States,” Source: Live Mint.

After the executive order banning TikTok, the Trump administration has released another order to take strict action on all Chinese apps being used in the United States.

Under the latest order, ByteDance (TikTok’s parent company) is expected to tarnish the data of TikTok users from America.
