Today India recorded one of the lowest numbers of new coronavirus cases in less than a month. 490 deaths in 24 hours, as per the Union health ministry on November 3rd which has taken the country’s tally to more than 8.26 million. The decrease in the number of new cases in India is reported to be 38,310 new cases. The number of active cases in the country has fallen from 561,908 to 541,405 on Monday morning, as per data.
Last week on the same day there were 36,470 daily coronavirus cases in the country. In just a span of just two months, active cases comprised 6.83% of all the total coronavirus positive cases in the country, indicating 3 were lesser cases than earlier.
On September 3rd, the rate of active cases was 21.16% as stated by the health ministry in a release on Monday.
On Monday it was reported to be 45,321 in the country where 80% of the new cases were reported majorly from the Union territories. The ministry stated that Kerala climbed to first place with 7,025 new cases, Delhi and Maharashtra, both recorded over 5,000 frequent cases.
The total number of recoveries have been 7,603,121 in the country, and in the last two days, 58,323 patients have been discharged from the hospitals or have completed home recuperation.
The Indian government has declared that India maintains to hold the top global position as the nation with the highest number of recoveries with 7.5 million cured as of Monday.
Of the 496 deaths on November 2nd morning, ten states as Union territories reckon for 82% of deaths in the past 24 hours. The ministry also stated that 22% of the deaths are from Maharashtra 113 deaths followed by West Bengal with 59.
