The famous American singer, Katy Perry, has expressed her support for Ellen DeGeneres on social media in the wake of reports claiming a toxic work culture and environment on DeGeneres talk show.
Perry said she always had “positive takeaways” from her television show.
The singer used her Twitter account to let the world know that she is standing strong with Ellen and wrote- “I know I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience besides my own, but I want to acknowledge that I have only ever had positive takeaways from my time with Ellen & on the @theellenshow,” Source: Twitter.

On this, actress Diane Keaton also shared her thoughts and support for Ellen’s show on social media.
Diane wrote- “I ALWAYS ENJOYED MY VISITS TO THE ELLEN SHOW. I’VE SEEN HOW THE AUDIENCE EXUDES HAPPINESS AND GRATITUDE. SHE GIVES BACK TO SO MANY INCLUDING ME.” Source: Instagram.
These comments came out in public after Ellen apologized to her staff members in a memo obtained by CNN last week. She wrote an email to “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” staff members mentioning “disappointed” after receiving and reading reports by BuzzFeed. The reports published by BuzzFeed claimed that the staff members have been facing racism and intimidation on the sets.
Ellen wrote- “On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ would be a place of happiness — no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect,” Source: Edition CNN.
Further, she continued- “Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry. Anyone who knows me knows it’s the opposite of what I believe and what I hoped for our show,” Source: Edition CNN.
