On Sunday night, BTS, the South Korean pop group, acquired a leading 4 awards which include the best song for ‘Dynamite’ as well as the best group at the MTV Europe Music Awards. Lady Gaga won the best-artist prize and was the only one to be nominated in many genres. BTS accumulated the best fans as well as the best virtual lives for Bang Bang Con.

It was a lit Sunday with the best global music aired with mind-blowing performances by Sam Smith, Alicia Keys, DaBaby and Doja Cat. It was hosted by the group Little Mix.

Lady Gaga was the most celebrated artist of the evening with the most nominations. She won the best artist by defeating Miley Cyrus, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, and Justin Bieber. However, she lost the best video award which went to ‘Popstar’ star DJ Khaled. The collaboration with Drake surpassed the likes of Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B for ‘WAP.’

The best hip-hop award was picked up by Cardi B, and Coldplay won the best rock. With Little Mix as the best pop while Haley Williams got the best alternative. And nothing could beat the best Latin award which went to Karol G, who additionally won the best collaboration for “Tusa” starring Nicki Minaj.

David Guetta also performed at the Music Award from a stage in Budapest along with took the best electronic award as well. The best new artist honor went to Doja Cat while the best push was won by singer-songwriter YUNGBLUD.

This is a third year of the MTV Europe Music Awards where a generation change award is handed over to the five women fighting for racial and social justice around the world: Temi Mwale, Kiki Mordi, Catherhea Potjanaporn, Raquel Willis and Luiza Brasil.
