On Wednesday, after Pyongyang blew up a liaison office, North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un suspended the military action plans against the South immediately.

In the past few weeks, Pyongyang released a string of vitriolic condemnations of Seoul on anti-North pamphlets. These leaflets were attached to floating bottles and balloons to be sent across the border.

With this, the rising tides of anger and hatred from the North increased. Following the objectionable anti-North Korean banners, the North blew up the joint liaison office, followed by sending threats to the military troops at the border.

When the matter turned into heated circumstances for both sides, state media conducted a meeting where Kim Jong Un chaired the discussion. The meeting came to a resolution of suspending the military action orders at the border.

As per a news report agency KCNA, the meeting also discussed the different aspects of “further bolstering the war deterrent of the country,”

When some more layers of the case opened, it revealed that the sister of the North Korean leader, Kim Yo-Jong instructed the military force to prepare a solid plan first. But those who have dived deep into the matter say that there has been an out clause since the beginning.

When North Korea’s military declared that they are withdrawing their military action, the official statement read that the action needs approval from the Central Military Commission, first.

Why Kim Jong-Un Pulled His Steps Back?

As per some experts, Kim is trying to act good to overcome his sister’s bad acts conducted in the past. Such decisions are considered to be a trick to strengthen future choices too. As of now, the decisions have been suspended and not canceled completely.

Why is North and South Korea is Witnessing Tensions at the Moment?

It all began in 2018 when leaders of South & North met at the borders for the first time. The leaders’ relationships worsened after a failed summit amid the U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.
