According to the people aboard Air Force One, on Sunday, President Donald Trump’s jet was hit by a small drone when it approached an airport around Washington.

The small drone or device was in a cross shape with bright yellow and black colors on the top. It was on the right side of the plane. At first, the passengers on the jet saw this drone-like device coming towards the jet. The device occurred shortly before the jeet was about to touch down at 5:54 P.M on Sunday evening.

On Monday, the secret service did not react to this immediately, instead requested to confirm the reports first. On this, the North American Aerospace Defense Command referred queries to the US Secret Services regarding the same. North American Aerospace Defense Command coordinates with air security challenges through North America.

Regarding this matter, the Federal Aviation Administration asked some questions to the Air Force.

Where it is quite difficult for the aviation safety investigation officers to evaluate such fleeting events, it seems to be among the thousands of other safety incidents involving unnamed devices in the boundaries of the United States. This has prompted calls by law enforcement and security agencies to take extra precautionary measures.

As per researchers, a common civilian drone weighs hardly a few pounds and probably is not able to take down a jetliner. On the other hand, the government researchers say that the same sort of damage can be made by a similar-sized bird.

President Trump was flying in the modified Boeing Co. 757 which was among the jets, also known as Air Force One.

The FAA receives thousands of detailed reports on drones flying too close to aircraft. Such reports come from pilots.
