Recently, the son of an iconic Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, Babli Khan, shared that he has been encountering several issues based on his religion.

On Wednesday night, Babli shared a series of Instagram stories where he claimed that people have started to behave differently with him due to the religion he belongs with.

In one of his posts, Babli said that he is a lot more than his name and religion.

Babli wrote- “Can’t even post anything about how I feel about the people in power without my whole f**king team telling me that it might end my career. I am scared, I am afraid. I don’t want to be. I don’t want to be judged by my religion. I am not my religion; I am a human being, just like the rest of India.” Source: Instagram.

The argument started on an online debate on ‘mandatory holiday’ for Eid cancelation. On this, he wrote- “Okay no problem, I will just celebrate Eid when it’s not Eid on Saturday.” Source: Instagram.

Further, he added- “Our beautiful secular India’s sudden relapse of the religious divide is honestly getting scary. I have friends that have stopped communicating with me because I am of a certain religion. I miss my friends; my Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, human friends…I love India, don’t you dare call me anti-nationalist. I promise you; I am a boxer, I will break your nose,” Source: Instagram.

At last, he concluded his words by a thankyou note for his followers who support him. While putting an end to his words, Babli said that whosoever has issues with him is welcome for a rational discussion to overcome the misunderstandings.
