Samsung is a popular brand that has produced some of the finest technology products and several customers vouch for its quality. The man behind the enormous success of the brand is Lee Kun-hee. He transformed the low-key television maker brand into a competitive giant in the technological world. The brand has spread its roots to newer places, many ventures, and produced tremendous results.
The Samsung Electronics CEO breathed his last on Sunday and he was 78 years old. He was hospitalized in 2014 after a heart attack and all the operations and decisions regarding the company were being taken by the de facto company chief, Lee Jae Yong. He was consulted and had a say in all the things happening in and around the company but did not actively involve in the activities like he used to.
He died on the morning of Sunda, 25th October. His family members, along with his son Lee Jae Yong were by his side when he left the world. This is a great loss to the Samsung brand which happens to be the largest technological brand in the South Korean region. The news came as a shock to many.
His son will be taking over the CEO position completely and the ones associated with the consumer electronics brand are looking forward to the new changes that will come because of the death of CEO Lee Kun-hee.
Samsun released an official statement, remembering the time they spent with the leader and how fruitful it was to work under his guidance.
“All of us at Samsung will cherish his memory and are grateful for the journey we shared with him,” the official statement read. “Our deepest sympathies are with his family, relatives, and those nearest. His legacy will be everlasting.”
It is definitely a gloomy day for the Samsung team but life must go on.
