The COVID pandemic has certainly created quite a stir in the world and with millions of lives lost, countries are gearing up for preventive measures to stop further damage. The news of a new strain mutation and how it spreads rapidly is also creating doubts in people’s mind. 2020 has come to an end but the fear of this contagious problem is still prevalent.

Under these uncertain times, the leaders of different countries are trying to narrow down vaccines that will help to halt the virus spread. The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia has taken a step forward and got his first shot of Pfizer and BioNTech’s COVID vaccine. The people are not very sure about how the vaccine will act once it enters the body. To increase faith and trust among people, prominent figures and Government Heads have taken the vaccine in public. The Crown Prince did the same in Saudi Arabia.

The country’s Health Minister, Dr. Tawfiq -Al - Rabiah, has appreciated and thanked the Crown Prince for showing keen attention towards the progress of the vaccine and taking every step to make it accessible to the people. The country has recently received the shipments of the vaccine. The Crown Prince received the vaccine on Friday and is doing absolutely fine.

There are about 3,61,903 active cases in the country and about 6100 people have died because of the COVID complications. The Health Minister has further stated that the Kingdom was one of the best in combating COVID complications and providing proper healthcare facilities to its citizens. Keeping the Vision 2030 in mind, the kingdom plans on diligently sticking to ‘Prevention is better than cure’ concept and planning to expand COVID treatment centers, intensifying preventive measures and making sure that the vaccine will be made available to every citizen.

The Crown Prince, Mohammed Bin Salman, is one of the few World Leaders who bravely stepped forward to take the vaccine and motivated his citizens to do the same. The needed procedures are being carried out to distribute the vaccines as soon as possible in the Kingdom.
