Saturday Night Live will be going live with Jim Carrey as the former vice president Joe Biden as declared by NBC on September 16. All are gearing up to make it happen before the 2020 election. The variety series of mockery will debut as of now on October 3. The episodes are planned in a way that the 5 episodes will be live for about a month and will end by November 3.
Carrey is an outstanding choice to perform Biden considering that he is not from the cast and Jason Sudeikis was the one who has been playing Joe Biden till now.
Nevertheless, Saturday Night Live has been picking outside celebrities to perform interesting characters from the past 4 years which includes Brad Pitt as Dr. Anthony Fauci, Robert de Niro as Robert Mueller and Alec Baldwin as President Donald Trump.
There was even a surprise act by Brad Pitt on the opening night of SNL which was completely managed remotely for the first time due to pandemic.
The show usually picks up more traction during the election time every year, and its series are very relatable during this time. This year fusing Jim Carrey with Alec Baldwin will make it more exciting and will be buzz of the town while working around the current news and debates.
SNL is all excited to announce that it is again going to be back in the presence of a live audience. SNL has been planning this thoroughly and has decided that there will be a limited audience for this season at Rockefeller Center said NBC. After March, this is going to be the first chance for SNL to air from Studio 8H due to a coronavirus outbreak. Soon after the production had come to a halt, it had started a new virtual show called Saturday Night Live At Home from April.
