On Thursday Tesla Inc launched its all-new brand of Tequila on its electric car maker’s website, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla earlier had promised a good bottle experience of liquor someday which was unavailable in a few hours after its launch.
The pictures of Tesla Tequila are designed in a lightning-shaped, sleek bottle which was a bit distinct from what Elon Musk had touted. It went out of stock very quickly, and many fans showed dismay.
Tesla did not promptly react to a request for remark. On the April Fool’s Day 2018 Musk had tweeted the idea of “Teslaquila” which was considered as a joke by all. However, Musk’s attempts to trademark the liquor in October 2018 were grimaced upon by Mexico’s tequila yielders.
Mexico’s Tequila Regulatory Council then debated the name ‘Teslaquila’ invokes the word Tequila. The council stated in a statement that Tesla is certified as a tequila brand but under strict regulations regarding the national drink as they are saying it would be made by Destiladora del Valle de Tequila, a significant producer of tequilas as well as other spirits.
As per Tesla’s website, the brand-new alcoholic venture will be accessible only in a few US states as of now, which includes Washington, New York, and California. The Silicon Valley billionaire, Elon Musk is no newcomer to trading quirky produce in limited edition or to one-time sellouts. He once sold flamethrowers at $500 each in the year of 2018, increasing $10 million for his tunnel venture called the Boring Company. Elon Musk has also sold 50,000 hats as well.
Clayton Szczech, an industry consultant, stated that without trying the Tesla liquor, he could not judge its quality. But he noted that stardom products, on the whole, were not intended at tequila connoisseur.
