On July 3, Vikas Dubey, with his supportive criminals, killed 8 policemen in Bikru Village near Kanpur.
On this, Madhya Pradesh Minister Narottam Mishra told ANI- “It is a big success for the police, Vikas Dubey is a cruel killer. Whole Madhya Pradesh police were on alert. He has been arrested from Ujjain Mahakal temple. We have informed Uttar Pradesh Police,” Source: Hindustan Times.
From July 3, Vikas Dubey was hiding in different locations. He used fake ID proofs to stay in the OYO hotel in Faridabad. Fear of getting caught, he went to Ujjain on Wednesday and entered Ujjain Mahakal Temple with an intent of surrender.
Sources say, apart from killing 8 policemen, Dubey has a long criminal history and records. The UP Police killed his close relative and right-hand, Aman Dubey on Monday morning. The encounter process was followed by the killing of two other teammates of Vikas Dubey’s criminal group. At present, Dubey has 60 criminal charges, including- extortion, rioting, murder, and kidnapping.
Soon after killing the policemen on July 3, the gangster group eloped through the bushes. Earlier, the bounty on Dubey was Rs. 50,000, which was raised to Rs. 5 lakh, after he killed 8 policemen.
On Wednesday, Vikas Dubey was spotted inside the temple at 8 a.m. To this, a local shopkeeper alerted the police, and security guards started questioning him.
An officer present on the spot said- “He produced a fake ID card, and then there was a fight. The guards got him to the police,” Source: NDTV
Wednesday’s early morning, his (Vikas Dubey) two supporters were killed in Etawah, a state 220 km away from Lucknow.
On this, the Senior Police Officer, Akash Tomar stated- “At around 3 a.m., a Swift Dzire was looted by four armed men on a Scorpio. They were stopped about an hour later by cops when they tried to escape. The police chased them, and an unidentified man suffered multiple injuries in crossfire. He was declared brought dead at the hospital,” Source: NDTV
