After a long wait, the Uttarakhand government has lifted all the travel restrictions from the state. Now inter-state and inter-district travelers will be able to roam throughout the ‘Dev Bhoomi.’ Apart from India, Uttarakhand is ready to welcome travelers from the world. So that clears, now people can relish summer vacations in the hills.

Along with permitting travelers to enter Uttarakhand, the governmental authorities have issued the guidelines to take proper precautionary measures. With this, most of the homestays and hotels throughout the state (except the state’s containment area) will be open to cater to national and international travelers.

As per reports, the official guidelines for hotels, homestays, tourists place, and travelers have been out on July 2 already. Before starting off their journey, all the travelers will be required to upload their COVID-19 test report on the official website https://smartcity dehradun.uk.gov.in. As an additional security tier, the district authorities will be appointed on the state’s borders/ checkpoints to verify the traveler’s medical reports and conduct a quick COVID-19 test on the spot.

In addition to this, the hotels, homestays, tourists’ place will be required to make all the travelers undergo RT – PCR tests by the ICRM (Indian Council of Medical Research) authorized labs. If found, all the spots have been instructed to spot corona positive travelers, informing the local authorities immediately.

Also, the travelers’ medical reports must not be older than 72 hours or before beginning their journey. International travelers will be required to register themselves on Uttarakhand’s official web portal before entering the state. The travelers will have to remain quarantined for at least 7 days.

At present, the inter-district travelers will not be required to undergo quarantine.
