On Friday, the Union Health Minister of India, Harsh Vardhan, said that although the recovery rate of novel coronavirus has improved to 76.28%, it should not be neglected.
He said- “The national COVID-19 recovery rate has reached 76.28 per cent, while the mortality rate has come down to 1.82 per cent which was the lowest in the world,” Source: NDTV.
He gave these statements while inaugurating a super specialty hospital in Indore. The inauguration program was conducted virtually, and the total worth of the hospital is up to Rs. 237 crore.
While putting some emphasis on the coronavirus stats of India, he said that so far, more than four crore tests have been conducted. Out of them, nine lakh tests were conducted on Thursday.
Further, he said- “Although our country is better equipped to deal with the viral infection than the rest of the world, we should not take the pandemic lightly,” Source: NDTV.
He continued and stated- “I have full faith that if we all work unitedly, we under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are going to succeed in the fight against coronavirus,” Source: NDTV.
While giving the speech, he said that the leaders must come forward and participate in making people aware of avoiding physical contact, wear masks, and take all the necessary precautions to eliminate this deadly disease.
With this, he informed the media and others present in the virtual inauguration function that the project of constructing more than 75 super-specialty hospitals in the country is going at a fast pace.
As per him, the state government has made 12,000 sq ft area available to the center for setting up the branch soon.
